Joomla installation

Add support for PDF format in joomla

Installation steps
  • Download the ZIP or TAR from the top menu
  • GO on your administrator Back-end
  • Choice the menu
    • Extension >
    • Extension Manager
    • Select the file you have downloaded
    • Click now on update & install
    The main library is installed and joomla support now PDF.

Choice the library you prefer

Installation steps
  • Download dompdf, mpdf, tcpdf or wkhtmltopdf from the top menu
  • GO on your administrator Back-end
  • Choice the menu
    • Extension >
    • Extension Manager
    • Select the file you have downloaded
    • Click now on update & install
    The PDF class library is installed and joomla support to render PDF with this library.
YOu can remove it, test another one and look witch is better for you.

PDF Setup plugin(optional)

Installation steps
  • Download PLUGIN from the top menu
  • GO on your administrator Back-end
  • Choice the menu
    • Extension >
    • Extension Manager
    • Select the file you have downloaded
    • Click now on update & install
    The plugin is installed.
  • Choice the menu
    • Extension >
    • Plug-in Manager
    • Search "Document- Pdf Render" or use the search filter Type : document
    • Click now on Document- Pdf Render row statu to enabled it
    You can now set your preference and customize your PDF default Output.

I cannot install the PDF library.

You must upload all by ftp to the right folder.
The libraries are directly in the libraries/LIBRARYNAME
if the library name is dompdf for eg., make a sub-folder(in joomlasite/libraries) named dompdf and copy all in this folder(you have to to be in first main folder from ZIP file)

libraries have no settings in joomla 2.5, copying files or installing it, do the same task in case of libraries
